Rick Bruce taught in a public high school for 7 years before joining the aerospace industry. Karen Bruce holds a degree in art history. Not satisfied with the educational offerings available to them, they joined the early home school movement in 1983 to provide a richer education for their kids. Karen's mother Ellen Myers, a linguist and retired school teacher, contributed in the early years. The Bruce family co-op was born in the 1980's when multiple additional families started participating in foreign language and history classes. The co-op is now in its third decade.

We pride ourselves on an emphasis on math and science with strong reading skills in elementary and foreign language in middle and high school. Please contact us for information about virtual offerings.
